Hawaii Basic Firearms Safety Course
Required for any firearm purchase in the State of Hawaii - handgun, shotgun, rifle

6 hour course which includes 4 hour classroom and 2 hour range time. Upon completion you will receive a notarized affidavit which satisfies Hawaii’s gun safety requirement.
Utah Concealed Firearms Permit Course
This certification is good only for US States which have reciprocal agreements with UT, or officially recognize the UT concealed carry permit. Hawaii does NOT recognize the UT permit, nor currently have reciprocal agreements with any other state. This will NOT allow you to carry concealed or otherwise in the State of Hawaii, as there is no reciprocity nor recognition of the UT permit. There is no live fire required for this course, it is strictly a class.

The fee includes the course materials including the application and FBI Fingerprint cards to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) who will perform their own criminal background check. Once the applicant passes and meets the requirements, UT will issue then mail the permit certification and card directly to the applicant.
Applicant must pay their own application fee (published on UT BCI site). Refer to the BCI website for more information.

Credit cards can also be taken at the class. Cash and certified money orders and/or checks also accepted. If a discount is to be applied (for qualified active duty/veterans and spouse) those will be applied on site, don't use the automated checkout.
